A flexible, modular course of up to 12 sessions held over 3 days, arranged with GP training supervisors. Held at a venue convenient to participants.
Restricting group numbers to between 4 and 8 participants ensures maximum opportunity for active learning and putting theory into practice through case-studies and role-play, building skills, flexibility and confidence.
The course includes modules on information-gathering, explaining and managing, pronunciation, telephone consultations, breaking bad news, end-of-life care, negotiating and conflict-management, and challenging SCA cases.
The course provides insights into encoding and decoding non-verbal communication, building rapport, using patient-friendly language (and avoiding jargon), picking up cues, and eliciting ICE / PSO - skills at the heart of an effective consultation.
Prices vary according to number and location of participants.
